Hello everyone, I'm Misya, or Flavia Imperatore, I'm 34, married to Ivano and Elisa's mother, I'm Neapolitan, a lover of travel, good food and excellent company.

Stew with red wine

Fry the garlic and bacon in a pan with 3 tablespoons of oil.

When the pancetta is well browned, add the vegetables and cook for about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, flour the stew being careful to remove the excess flour.

After waiting 10 minutes, add a spoonful of white flour to the vegetables, and once everything is well blended, pour half the broth, all the red wine and the spoonful of tomato puree.

Let it cook for another 10 minutes, remove the sauce and put another little oil in the pan and brown the stew.

Here is the result after 15 minutes.

At this point, put the sauce obtained before, the stew, in a saucepan, add the rest of the broth, a bay leaf, a little pepper, and cook for an hour and a half.

Transfer to a baking dish, cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes.

Are you looking for an elegant spoon dessert? Try the Pears in Red Wine and Cinnamon .

This dessert is one of those that are easily prepared but with which he always makes a splendid figure. "Pears in Red Wine and Cinnamon" already the name is worthy of the best dessert menus :-) and the presentation is not far behind.

Pears are almost always fruit available on the market, cooked with spices and served with a red wine syrup, they are super! You can also accompany this dessert with a zabaglione cream, or vanilla ice cream, but if you want to dare, I recommend serving it with gorgonzola cheese :-)

Wine donuts recipe

1 glass of Red Wine,
5 glasses of 00 flour for desserts,
1 glass of sugar,
1 glass of seed oil,
1 pinch of baking powder,
1 pinch of salt,
Granulated sugar for the coating to taste

Work the sugar with the oil and the wine, mixing them well. Add the baking powder, salt and finally the flour.
The flour must be poured one glass at a time, until you realize that it is enough to obtain a homogeneous and easy to work mixture. Form a ball, cover it and leave the dough to rest for about half an hour.

Take the dough, work it a little in your hands and start rolling it on the work surface, form a cord about 10 cm long and close it in a ring giving the shape of a donut.
Continue like this until the dough is used up, pass each donut in the granulated sugar and place them in a pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees for 15 minutes. Happy dessert everyone!

                              How to use leftover wine

It may happen that you don't completely finish a bottle of wine: how then to prevent it from turning into a useless leftover? Certainly there is no shortage of tips and suggestions in this case, just simply exploit your imagination and even the leftover wine will become the extra touch for a new recipe or a particular preparation. Here are the most ingenious uses.

                              Artisan vinegar
The leftover wine can be safely used to "create" an artisanal vinegar capable of flavoring many dishes. In this case we are talking about red wine: it is necessary to pour it into a bottle of unpasteurized vinegar and let it rest for a few weeks. Always on a weekly basis, we must not forget to mix from time to time and within a month at the most you will obtain an artisanal product of sure success and with a strong taste, ideal for both meat and fruit.

                              Soups and stews
The leftover white wine is perfect for flavoring soups in the most appropriate way and making them even more creamy. Red wine, on the other hand, is perfect for tomato or beef dishes (stews are an excellent example of this). For every single portion it is necessary to add a few but generous drops of the drink.

                              Fruit
The fruit can be boiled in red wine and sugar, in order to obtain an inviting sauce: the fruits that lend themselves best to this culinary use are undoubtedly pears, apples, peaches and plums. The advice is to cook everything over low heat for about ten minutes.

                              Eggs and wine
Who said that eggs and wine can't get along? An interesting recipe involves the use of a white wine such as prosecco when preparing the omelettes: the dish will be even softer and more delicate. However, you shouldn't overdo it with wine, a tablespoon every two eggs is enough.

                              Sauce
To make the classic steamed mussels, you can use the "leftovers" of white wine (just under half a cup every 400 grams of mussels), without forgetting two other fundamental ingredients such as butter and garlic.
