Great summer party cocktail. I like using dixie cups for these because the cups can be torn at the seam for easy eating. If you can find it in your local store, try this with Pina Colada jello mix.-29 Jun 2012

I love how simple and quick to prepare this recipe really is. I did also add 1 packet of Knox Gelatin. I also used pineapple jello rather than the strawberry/banana. So delicious ~ pure tropical. Thank you for sharing Janice. Maybe I should add that I made the shots in wilton silicone molds, once set they just peeled out ~ so easy and everyone loved the shapes instead of the plastic cups!-10 Aug 2012

For a fun party treat with shocking color, make Blue Hawaiian jello shots. To quickly mix up these adult shots, dissolve berry blue jello in water and then add Blue Curaçao, Malibu Rum, and pineapple juice. [1] X Research source Pour the liquid into small cups and chill until they're set. For shots with distinctive blue and yellow layers, combine pineapple juice with vodka, gelatin, and Blue Curaçao. Once this layer is set, pour a mixture of gelatin, lemon syrup, and pineapple juice over it. Serve the layered shots once they're set.

Peach Jello Shot Recipe

Today we will have a special fruit jello shot recipe. As I like peach flavour, we will mix Jell-O with Peach Schnaps.

180g) of Peach Schnaps
• 6 onces of cold water

Also, reader came with a variation, where there are 2 oz Peach Schnaps and 4 oz Peach Vodka. These shots are definitely going to be stronger :)

Cold water and Schnaps should be added together after Jell-O is completely dissolved in boiling water. Stir then mixture with Schnaps, let it cool and fill in jello shot cups.

Mojito Jello Shot Recipe

Hi there! Mojito is quite popular alcoholic drink nowadays, let's make its jello version as well with jello shot recipe blog in charge :) Open your bar and take out Rum bottle, you will need it.

Mix Jell-O with water and add rum later. I advise to add chopped mint leaves after it cools down a bit, but still liquid. You will have to stir it a while, so that leaves freeze there in the middle, not on the base of the cup or only on top of it.

Just be sure, that your guests are not afraid of swallowing these mint leaves :)

Jell-O Shot

Just thinking about Jell-O Shots probably reminds you of a college party or other event where cheap beer dominated and trash cans doubled as punch bowls. But who says Jell-O Shots have to end after college? These tried-and-true party drinks are fun, easy to make and instant crowd-pleasers. And, with a little effort, you can create better-than-usual shots featuring quality liquor and complementary flavors, rather than grain alcohol and a flash of neon.

When making Jell-O Shots, you just need three ingredients: gelatin, water and liquor. Any flavor of gelatin will work, but do not use the unflavored variety, or you’ll be the unwitting creator of sad, tasteless shots. Vodka and white rum are both great options for your alcohol, although other spirits, like gin, whiskey, tequila and brandy are all fair game. Vodka is the most neutral, so it will allow the Jell-O to shine, while other spirits will infuse more of their own essence into the final product.

If you’re feeling ambitious, you can even make Jell-O Shot cocktails, like a Whiskey Sour, Margarita or Daiquiri. In that case, you need to match the cocktail ingredients with the liquid requirement in the recipe. For example, if you’re making a Daiquiri and using one package of gelatin, the rum, lime juice, and simple syrup should maintain their proper ratios while keeping the total volume of non-boiling liquid (cocktail plus cold water) to eight ounces.

Jell-O Shots are a blank canvas for creativity, so mix it up with different colors, flavors and shapes. Your friends will love them.

Helpful tips

  • How to layer a shot: Use either a cocktail spoon or a regular iced coffee teaspoon. I prefer to use the cocktail spoon but for the thin, tall shot glass, I have to use the iced coffee teaspoon because the cocktail spoon is too wide to fit in the glass.
  • Always place the spoon upside down with the bowl-side facing up in and against the side of the glass. You will then slowly pour the liquid over the bowl and into the glass.
  • Invest in a few pourers. This will help you with your layering.
  • Using a pourer helps to control the pour, which is critical to layering any shot. But if you do use a pourer, you will have to eyeball your quantities because they&rsquore coming straight out of the bottle, unmeasured.
  • When layering shots, you place the heaviest liquor on the bottom and work your way up in weight.

I've made Gummy Bear Jello Shots before and they were a hit! Choose whatever flavor of Jello you like, mix it with 1 cup boiling water and 1 cup of your liquor of choice (or you can adjust the amount of water to make stronger/weaker shots). Lightly spray a flavorless cooking spray in the shot cups. Pour the Jello mixture in the cups, and let the Jello set up for a little bit. Once it has started to gel slightly, gently drop a Gummy Bear in the shot. Chill in the fridge for a few hours. You can add a shot of whipped cream on top of the shots too right before you serve them. These shots were really popular at my last party!

Hint-Use 2 oz. plastic souffle cups for these so you can see the Gummy Bear through the cup. Also, tell your guests to loosen the Jello from the cup using their finger before taking the shot.

Anyways I KNOW THE BEST WAY TO MAKE Jell-O SHOTS.. and im just nice enough to share my tricks with YOU.

The trick to a perfect Jell-O shot is adding the ALCOHOL at the right time. Now there are many things you can set the Jell-O in but I prefer SOLO brand 2-oz Plastic cups with lids 1-oz is smaller than a average shot (2-oz = 1-oz Jell-O and 1-oz booze ..anyways)

What you have to do is make sure to have extra Jell-O so you can make an almost syrup thick Jell-O mix. I like using 5 average packages and just enough water to make it a soupy thickness but enough to completely dissolve the Jell-O. After you get the water boiling add Jell-O mix and dissolve. Once dissolved you will need a clean Gallon milk jug with the top cut off but still able to pour from easily. Do not add the alcohol to the mix until the water has stopped steaming or you will evaporate some of the Alcohol and that's alcohol abuse! Since the Jell-O mix is so THICK, very important, you should add one part to one part or however strong you would like your Jell-O to be. You can check the strength of the Jell-O by tasting it like a mixer. If it is thin going down it MAY not gell up. You want a consistency where it is still somewhat soupy but not thick. You don't want water . just slightly thicker.

If you have a LOT of cups to fill, the gallon jug works wonders for mixing (shaken not stirred) and for pouring hundreds of little cups. You can make this with any Jell-O and ALMOST any alcohol you like (liquor WORKS BEST) and as stated on this site there is an almost endless combination of flavor in these recipes so enjoy. AND FOR GOD SAKES HAVE SOME FUN YOU GOT JELL-O.

1 cup of Sauza Tequila (the most economical 100% Agave tequila, but use Patron if you must) 1 pack of Lime jello. 1 cup of margarita mix in the place of the hot water. (get the more expensive mix at the liguor store, and not a cheap half gallon from a grocery store) 1 teaspoon of lime juice, fresh squeezed, (not the shitty little plastic bottle kind.) After the shots set up, just barely frost the tops of shots with salt.

Oh, and very lightly spray the individual cups with the original Pam spray 30 minutes prior to poring. 20% alcohol jello shots tend to stick in the cups more than normal jello.
